Duties & Responsibilities

  • Write original content based on provided direction, including but not limited to articles, blog posts, web copy, eBooks, and whitepapers

  • Adhere to strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality

  • Conduct thorough research on assigned topics to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date

  • Incorporate client feedback and direction into revisions as needed

  • Maintain open communication with clients throughout the writing process

  • Understand and maintain knowledge of specific client industries and target audiences

  • Write in a variety of voices and tones as needed

  • Edit and proofread final drafts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.

  • Format content according to specified style guides

  • Upload finished content to designated content management systems

  • Perform regular maintenance checks on assigned website(s) or blog(s)

  • Monitor website analytics to gauge the effectiveness of published content

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or related field

  • Minimum 4-5 years of professional writing experience with a solid portfolio of work

  • Exceptional writing and research skills

  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines

  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability

  • Proficiency in Google doc, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc.

  • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design

  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides

  • Social media or content marketing experience
